BANGALAS!!! FALL IN!!!

3 more days to depart for India. As the day draws closer and closer, I am getting more and more excited. How is it like over there? Will I have problems adapting? These are the common questions I will ask myself. 21 days..I have never ever been away from home for so long..think I will really miss Singapore.

Today’s slackttachment was amazing race once more. In the morning, we were told to go down to Clementi to get the necessary stuff for packing and that took almost the whole morning away. After resting for about half an hour, we had to go to Bukit Timah shopping centre to look for empty cartons. Imagine walking round the building with cartons on our hands, really look like Bangala leh.

As we were about to leave, it started to rain. We had no choice but to slack around Bukilt Timah. And the best part was bringing the empty cartons into Mambo pool and play pool there. NNB..really damn paiseh… Bangala cannot play pool meh?

CRAMP!!!!

My calf has yet again given way today and I went down with cramp while playing a soccer game. This time was a bit worse than previous times. With two of the calves suffering together at the same time, it was certainly double ‘delight’.

I had already played in the morning. At night I went to play again and the cramp just came. 5 of my friends had to help me pull the muscles and massage for my big calves. The whole ordeal took about half an hour before the muscles surrendered and loosen themselves. NNB. I had to walk like a virgin as I could not take big steps.

Tomorrow I will be going down to little India with the team for dinner and it’s on the house. PLEASE! Please don’t rain. If not, the place is going to be damn crowded and the smell…you know I know lah….

6 days countdown to depart for India…

Phonelist

Ever scroll down your phone list and scan through every name before? If you do you will realize that maybe around more than half of the numbers are which you will never dial. Neither will they appear in your received calls list.

So where do these numbers come from? For my experience, I will narrate them in a play as below.

XX: Hey! Yifan! OMG! Really long time no see you! How have you been doing? OMG!
You look much older than last time I saw you! (Editor note: NNB, can’t you use
Better and Nicer words like MATURE?)

Me: Yah! Hi! Really been a long time. I am currently schooling at XXXX school now.
How about you?

XX: Oh, I see. I am currently working/schooling/NS at XXXX now. Really jialat man!
You leh? Still the old self? Must be lah…enjoy enjoy here there only right..

Me: Haha..yah lor..like that lor…haha…….

*pause for a moment and pretends to look elsewhere but are actually thinking what to continue to say for both parties

Either XX or me: Hey! I got to rush now. Got something on. Let’s exchange contact number. We really should come out for coffee sometimes.

* Exchange numbers and then disappears for the rest of life.

Is that roughly the same scenario you have? Haha..don’t worry about that. Mostly these people are the hi-bye friends you used to have. I think most of which you were close to before may send those goodnight/ good morning/ good day Sms to you regularly. Yah. Thats all only. They still will not call you out one. And neither would you.

Another common scenario is this:

Mr X: Hey! Miss Y! Wah…long time no see..you become PRETTIER liao… (Editor
Note: Remember! Use the word PRETTIER. If you use pretty, it means she used
To be ugly in the past. This first statement may be enough to let her hate you for
The rest of your life. Don’t ask me why. I also don’t know. I always think that
Women are harder to comprehend than the mystery of the universe.)

Miss Y: Oh! Thanks! (thinks to herself: ‘YAH! YAH! YAH! Prettier than before!!! YES!
YES! YES!) How have you been doing?

Mr X : hefjff efjefof efjefgogopjejif efhefeieof..blah blah blah….like that lor..you?

Miss Y : wiojdwiwd efjefe efjeoww iiiwwdf blah blah blah….like that lor hahaha..

* exchanges contact and if guy do takes the first step to call her afterwards, chances are that they will be closer and closer and eventually become closest and live happily ever after.

Don’t tell me that is not true for I have heard countless stories of whoever have lost contact with each other but met somehow and become a pair of butterflies. But I also don’t know why such romantic stories never happen to me. Maybe I am only meant for horror stories. (NNB..God…can’t you sometimes arrange something nice for me for a change???)

But to be honest, its really a nice and warm feeling to meet some of your old friends on the street. A bit of chit-chat here and there will leave a familiar old feeling in you and that should make your day. Also I have a confession to make too. I am also one of those who will not make the 1st step to call an old friend. AND… I think you are one too. Don’t DENY.

The only problems that can never be solved are those which you chose to run away from.

Celluar + slackttachment

Not a good way to start the day. I woke up at 8.45 in the morning and I am supposed to be in school by 9 o clock. I did set the alarm clock but somehow it did not ring or maybe I already did off it when it went off. Either way I was terribly late and had to take a taxi to school. Damn it. That’s 10 dollars and half of my daily slackttachment(I came up with this new word myself. It certainly describes my attachment very well) pay.

Anyway I reached school at around 9.20 and realized that there are people even later than me. One even came in at 10am. And the teacher was also not really that particular about it either. I really shouldn’t have taken a cab. NNB.

Today’s slackttachment is roughly the same as Friday. We had to go down to Sim Lim yet again to obtain other quotations from other shops. Before that, we went to have our lunch at one of the shop houses which sells mainly buns. If I am not wrong, the name of that shop is called Bunz. And so after our lunch we went over to Sim Lim to do our quotation and that exercise only took about half an hour, which means that we have already completed our task by around 1.30. Our teacher in charge can only come to look for us at around 3 o clock. It is yet another you-see-me-I-see you. Since there is no choice, we had to be forced to go around shopping and also played a bit of Arcade. I repeat, we were forced to do so for our slackttachment. We also don’t want to be that way. Sigh. I also don’t understand why the school pay us to go shopping but since the school has decided that, we have no choice but to oblige. See. I told you we had no choice.

I meet my classmates for a movie after WORK today. We were watching the show ‘Cellular’. Before watching, I didn’t have very high hopes for this show and thought it would be another thriller flop. However instead, it was one of the more entertaining movies I have watched for quite some time. Thrills aside, there were even some inputs of small humor every now and then at suitable timings.

This is how the story goes.

A random wrong number on his cell phone sends a young man into a high stakes race against time to save a woman’s life. With no knowledge of this woman(Jessica)’s background other than her hushed, panicked voice on the other end of the cell phone connection, the young man(Ryan) is desperately thrown into the quest to search and save her. Jessica’s life is in his hands, but little did he know that eventually he is putting his life on the line as well.

It’s actually quite a typical Hollywood thriller meaning chase-here-chase-there and hide-here-hide-there. Maybe the reason is because it has been quite a while since I last watched movies like this and so hence had high recommendation for it.

Anyway these are the movies which I have watched recently and the points I have given to it. (Note: Each people have different tastes and feelings for different movies and the points given are just for your REFERENCE only)

Cellular 8/10

Yesterday once more 6/10

2046 5.5/10 for entertainment 9/10 for art

Dodge Ball 6.5/10

New Police Story 7.5/10

Well, I didn’t blog for the last 2 days mainly because I was spending majority of my time watching soccer on TV. Surely you don’t want me to go into details how each and every matches went right?
