My First Time(s)

My first time to a massage parlor

On Friday right after my exam a week ago, I went on my first ever visit to a massage parlor located at Taman Jurong. That massage parlor is a CLEAN one, where you just go in and enjoy the spa, sauna and etc. Of course there is someone to massage for you but other than massaging, nothing more was done. REALLY.

It was not too bad. I really need it after a night of studying for the damned IMGT paper. The place is located upstairs of Superbowl at Taman Jurong. The cost is $45 per session and you can stay there until the parlor closes, which is around 11pm. See, for $45 you cannot expect anything more than a decent massage and thus further proof that I went to a CLEAN parlor mainly for the sake of massaging and relaxing in their spa pool and suana. After that, you can even go to their TV room and relax. The softchair there really rocks. It is so comfortable that I thought of bringing one home. There is also a snack bar where you can eat for free. It is certainly a good place where you can relax for the whole day. But I repeat again, it is a CLEAN one and I am definitely innocent.

My first time playing archery

Shooting arrows has always looked very easy to me. All you have to do is to put the arrow onto the bow, aim and then release. But I was wrong. It is really not as easy as it seemed to be.

I went to Genting Highlands with my classmates a few days ago. It was overall fun and I even played archery for the very first time. It cost around Rm 45 for a 100 sticks of arrows. 4 of us decided to give it a try and you don't get this type of chances quite often.

It was generally ok apart for the first 7 arrows flying to the ground instead of the target board. Even the damned Ruby Chong did better than me. It was overall a good experience but my arm is quite sore after that.

My first time in a casino

I have finally turned 21 last year and is therefore legal to step into the casino at Genting. It was really an eye-opener. I could almost imagine myself sitting on one of the tables and having my hand in blackjack and many other games. Well, almost. Not after I saw that the minimal bet on one of the tables is Rm 50. I heard from other friends before that each table has a minimal and maximum bet and until I am sure of which is which, I won't dare to risk sitting down and donating my money to Genting Charity Foundation.

In the end I settled down on the jackpot game. It wasn't too bad. I won Rm 17 on my first night. It was only after the 2nd night when I realised that the jackpot machine is actually a loan shark in disguise and he charges really high interest. I was made to give back the Rm 17 on the 2nd night and even had to pay an interest of additional Rm 13. NNB.

I am quite likely to go there again in a month time with my family and I swear I must get back that Rm 13 or better still, make them pay me back with interest.
